The effectiveness of your ministry will never rise above your ability to lead and influence others.

The Faith and Trust Leadership Academy is a continuing education program that mentors and disciples pastors, and church leaders, in their leadership development for the 21st century .

Today's Church leaders are under more stress than ever before. Pastors have been thrust into "managing" their flock instead of leading them. Over the last several years, millions of people have continued to pour out of the church. The result is once thriving churches are barely hanging on or are closing their doors.

Believe it or not, there is something you can do. Are you ready to build your leadership skills and equip the saints to do the work of ministry?

About

The Greatest Religious Shift In American History Is Underway?

Since the mid-1990's, over 40 million people have left the church and have not come back. In the video on the right, leadership expert, Rev. Don Purdum, shares what's behind this phenomenon and what we can do together to curb the tide of the leadership crisis in church.

Let's face it, seminary doesn't prepare a pastor for leadership. That's not what it's for. The Faith and Trust Leadership academy is continuing education that goes beyond what you learned in seminary.

Watch the video to learn what's happening, why it's happening, and how you can be an instrumental role as a solution.

If a leader is not pursuing something, they are not leading. At best, they are "managing" a sinking ship.

The church rises and falls on leadership.

The Faith and Trust Leadership Academy exists to:

* Equip yourself as a pastor or Church leader to

rediscover why you went into ministry

your leadership skills instead of existing as a

manager

* Discover your pain threshold and ask what price

are you willing to pay

* Identify the patters of God has worked intimately in

your life and ministry

* Re-think the church model and asl is if there is a

better way

* Develop relationships with fellow pastors and

church leaders in a safe environment

* Tactics and strategies you can use in your

leadership and ministry

MANAGEMENT v LEADERSHIP

There is a vast difference between "managing" a church and "leading" one. The church rises on falls on its leadership. As a Pastor, you're in a unique situation. Not only are you leading a staff, but tens, hundreds, or possibly thousands of volunteers. In this program, you're going to learn the difference between management and leadership, and how to identify where you can improve in your leadership skills.

CHURCH AS WE KNOW IT IS OVER

For centuries in America, church has largely remained the same. People who are leaving say they are no longer interested in church life evolving around a single person or a once-a-week church service. They want more and anything less to them isn't worth their time. If we are going to evolve as leaders, it means we must re-think the church model to be more communal and less event driven. All without sacrificing our theology, doctrine, or the sacraments.

RE-LEARNING LEADERSHIP

To be effective leaders, we all need to learn new leadership skills. In this program, we're going to go deep. We're going to challenge one another to confront our worries and fears. We're going to discover how pastors can move beyond common management to uncommon leadership, and learn where our pain thresholds area at. We'll dive into our emotional awareness of God, self, and others and rediscover what it means to be curious instead of defensive --- And so much more!

The first Academy launches on Monday, June 3. We'll meet for up to 90 minutes each Monday for 12 weeks, from noon to 1:30 pm EDT. You'll have reading and/or homework between each meeting. Expect to be challenged personally, professionally, and spiritually. Through the process, you'll find your fellow pastors are in much the same situation you are, and hopefully, you build strong relationships that you can call upon for the rest of your ministry life.
